The Israelis left Israel last year. This has risen significantly over a year ago amid rising tensions in the region over the ongoing war in Tel Aviv’s Gaza Strip.
According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Israel’s population reached around 10.18 billion, with a growth rate of 1.0%.
Of this figure, approximately 7.758 million are Jews (78.5%), approximately 2.13 million are Arabs (21.5%), and approximately 260,000 are foreigners.
The count also includes around 400,000 Palestinians from East Jerusalem (AL-QUDS), which was occupied by Israel in 1967 and annexed unilaterally in 1980.
The department said about 25,000 new immigrants have arrived in Israel, with 5,000 coming under the family unification program.
Additionally, nearly 21,000 Israelis remained in the past, with about 79,000 remaining.
In 2023, around 55,300 Israelis migrated, but official figures show that around 27,000 people returned or moved to Israel.
Tensions are rising in Israel along with neighbouring countries over the ongoing war in Tel Aviv in Gaza, which has killed more than 65,000 people since October 2023.
Israel also launched a war with Iran in June, launching almost a day’s strike in Lebanon and Syria, and military attacks on the occupied West Bank.
