Tehran – Abu Ubaida’s speech is a strategic pivot for Hamas. He emphasizes his focus on highly casual operations and the capture of professional soldiers.
This reflects the tactical escalation of Hamas’ armed wings, the Alcasam brigade, aimed at changing battlefield dynamics and negotiation leverage.
His direct criticism of Arab and Islamic leadership shows growing frustration over regional inaction, but his praise for Yemen highlights the reorganization of alliances amongst the resistance movement.
Despite some Israeli officials who said the commander had been killed, an Alcasam spokesman appeared at his first video address since March 6th.
He said, “The current strategy of Alcasam’s leadership is to inflict serious losses on the enemy through shocking operations and pursue the capture of enemy soldiers.”
He added that Alcasam’s resistance fighters continue to surprise their enemies with new tactics and techniques they learned from what they described as “the longest war in Palestinian history.”
Abu Ubaida warned the Israeli regime that “if they choose to continue the war, they are effectively choosing to acquire more dead soldiers in return.”
The Al-Qassam commander harshly criticized the leaders of Arab and Muslim countries, saying, “The blood of tens of thousands of innocent people weighs heavily on the consciences of leaders, elites and scholars who betrayed the people in their silence.”
He accused Israeli occupation forces of committing genocide under the gaze of these leaders, and was convinced that there was “no accountability, only silence and betrayal.”
Abu Ubaida “expanded gratitude to all people around the world who are in solidarity with Palestine: to defeat Palestine and the siege and oppose in a possible way despite the risks.”
He specifically praised the Yemeni people, saying, “We send greetings to our loved ones in the land of wisdom and faith, Yemen, its army, and the True Brothers of Ansala.”
He said, “Ansalala in Yemen has opened an active front that revealed the passivity and submission of others in the region.”
This comes when Yemeni forces announce that they have carried out a precision military operation targeting Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, using a postponed ballistic missile named Palestine-2.
According to Brigadier General Yahya Saree, a spokesman for the Yemeni Army, the missile was “surprised by its target,” which led to millions of Israelis bombing the shelter and forcing air traffic to be stopped at the airport.
Sally described the operation as “a response to Gaza’s genocide and continuing military support for Yemen’s resistance.”
He emphasized that “Yemen will continue military operations until the attacks end and the Gaza blockade is lifted.”
The spokesman called on Arab and Islamic countries to stand up in support of Gaza, urging “all people in the Muslim world to take them to a city that supports Gaza, which is under merciless siege and brutal attacks.”
The general added, “If you do not stand up for your religion, you will stand up for your Arab identity, and if not for your Arab identity, for your humanity.”
Sally warned, “The fate of Gaza is not quarantined. If the criminal enemy succeeds in planning Gaza, the rest of the area will sooner or later be the next one.”
