Tehran – Samad Rohaninejad, a citizen of Shiraz, Fars, took a major step towards protecting the state’s cultural heritage by donating an exquisite collection of 176 ancient objects to the Fars Cultural Heritage Department.
Artifacts dating back to Iran’s prehistoric and ancient civilizations are now available in museums and safe cultural heritage repositories, the IRNA reported.
Cultural enthusiasts have been gathering collections for many years. This included 160 ceramic and bronze objects from the 16 alien objects, from the eras of Ellamite, Achemenid, Parthian and Sassanid.
This treasure, the result of his interest and pursuits over the years, is a sign of the art and historical identity of the land.
Mohammad Sabeth Ecridi, director of the Department of Farz’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, said, “These artefacts are symbols of the history and identity of the Fars land, and are the result of the arts and geniuses of our ancestors. The result of a safe repository to place them in the museum and hold them.”
He also said that a good culture should be promoted, donating ancient artefacts to the cultural heritage sector.
Sabet-Eqlidi noted that the Fars Cultural Heritage Protection Unit is ready to receive information and news about the cultural heritage sector in order to preserve historical and cultural artifacts.
This ancient treasure donation demonstrates general participation in maintaining the national heritage, and more than before the need for proper maintenance of these works.
Such measures could be a pattern to inculcate a culture that preserves Iran’s cultural treasures.
