President Pezeshkian spoke at a meeting with Iranian entrepreneurs in Tehran on Friday.
Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration to address economic challenges and proposed the establishment of a specialized working group focusing on key issues such as monetary policy, taxation and finance.
During the meeting, Pezeshkian listened to the concerns of 11 entrepreneurs and received insights from central bank Governor Mohammad Reza Farzin, Agriculture Minister Golamleza Nouri Gezelche and Minister of Economy and Finance Ali Madanizadeh.
The president reaffirmed his commitment to promoting international business opportunities, saying that his main goal of foreign travel is to strengthen the trade and production environment. He highlighted the favorable conditions for cooperation with neighbouring countries and regional organizations, such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Addressing complaints about economic imbalances inherited from previous administrations, the president noted that his administration has made great strides in reforming customs procedures to import solar equipment, aiming to facilitate the energy supply of industrial units.
He also mentioned efforts to optimize budget distribution among inefficient organizations and initiatives to acquire flare gas.
Additionally, President Pezeschkian has announced the creation of a scientific and expert research group to address issues such as water shortages and environmental concerns that universities will involve in developing comprehensive solutions that take into account economic, social and political factors.
