Tehran Hakim Nizami is a poet who has a permanent status and a lasting legacy across Persian-speaking land. With the power of poetry, he took a step into eternal Iranian literature, the leadership minister of culture and Islam said.
Seyyed Abbas Salehi made a speech on Tuesday evening at Hakim Nizami’s fourth anniversary ceremony held on March 12th.
The ceremony was held in Vadat Hall, Tehran, along with the presence of 10 foreign ambassadors and cultural attacks, including ambassadors from Tajikistan, Sierra Leone, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Croatia.
He refers to Nizami’s poem on earthly love and connections between God and eternal love, saying, “This is a very delicate realm, and Hakim Nizami is someone who could speak of earthly love without crossing the three boundaries of love or sliding from one territory to another.”
“On the path in which Hakim Nizami embraced earthly love, he was able to intertwin it with God’s love.
“Transactions and storytelling have a deep history in Persian literature, and there is a huge difference between F and storytelling. Unlike stories, F doesn’t necessarily require a climax or economic efficacy. Hakim Nizami is a storyteller in Iranian literature and a poet who tells through stories, so he holds an important position in Persian literature,” continued Salech.
He further states: “Hakim Nizami is a turning point in Iran’s lyrical literature. He has a deep sense of belonging and affection for Iran, and through his poems this affinity is intricately woven. Everything that carries myths, kings, and Iranian essence is evident in his work.”
Also at the event, the Tajikistan Ambassador to Iran said: His literary contributions are shared in these countries, and today they invite us to strengthen our cultural connections in this ever-changing world. ”
“Hakim Nizami was one of the great poets who played a special role in several aspects. Like Feldoushi, he was given the title of “Hakim” (sage), and his poetry is not merely a poem, but a fusion of knowledge, wisdom and deep thinking, which earns him a high position in this field,” said Nizomidin Zohidi.
“Hakim Nizami is considered the greatest composer of wise and romantic stories. He was one of the most innovative Persian poets, and in his “Kamsa” (Five Treasures), he left an eternal mark of originality. Many poets make up the imitation of the Netherlands “kamsa” in the form of Masnavis,” he said.
Zohidi further states: Even in the Indian subcontinent, poems inspired by him are composed, and Persian poems are woven deeply into them. ”
“Regionally and globally, Nizami’s respected position in Persian literature has led scholars around the world to maintain his work. In Tajikistan, Nizami’s works are accessible to literary scholars and are also included in the university’s literary curriculum,” he added.
Another speaker at the ceremony was the chairman of Iran’s National Heritage Association and said, “Currently, 27 states across the country are holding programs in honor of Hakim Nizami.”
Furthermore, Mahmoud Shalouei noted that Iranian cultural attaches in various countries are also organizing related events.
“Since last year, a statue of Hakim Nizami has been installed in Vanak Square, Tehran, with several books about him being published and additional books will be published at the upcoming Tehran International Book Fair,” continued Sharei.
“The Tajikistan Ambassador shows great dedication to Hakim Nizami’s memorial programme and I would also like to express my gratitude to the Indian Embassy for their admiration in this regard,” he said.
Additionally, Shalooi urged the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Leadership to offer serious support in honouring and producing film productions to preserve and honor the country’s cultural figures.
Jamal al-Din Abu Muhammad Ilyas ibn Yusuf ibn Zakki, commonly known as Nizami Ganjavi and Hakim Nizami, is a Muslim poet and is considered the greatest romantic poet of Persian literature. His legacy has been widely appreciated in Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kurdistan region and Tajikistan.
Nizami influenced the Persian poets who followed him. He has a wide range of knowledge about the general sciences of his time (literary science, astronomy, Islamic science, law, theology, Arabic, etc.), and this feature can be clearly seen in his poems.
He was very special in choosing the right words and phrases, creating new innovative combinations, inventing new and comfortable meanings and themes, describing the details with the power of his imagination, explaining the landscape and people, explaining nature and people, using a pleasant new analogy and paraphor, ranking him among people who were not in parallel compared to him.
The famous and unparalleled masterpiece left behind by Nizami is “Kamsa” or “Pansyganj” (Five Treasures), a noble work in the realm of lyrical narratives. He arranged and edited his poems for 30 years of his life.
“Panj Ganj” is the five Mathnavis (long story poems), “Makhzan al-asrar” (secretary or mystery warehouse, one of the prominent examples of Persian educational literature), “Khosrow and Shirin” (the great king of Khosrow Parviz, the great king of Shasanid and the shaken and the shaken parviz), “Khosrow and Shirin” Majnun” (the most famous classic love story of Persian literature), “Haft Peykar” (The Seven Beauties), and “Eskandarnameh” (Alexander’s book).
