Tehran – The deadline for submitting articles to the 16th Farabi International Award (FIA) has been extended until May 21st.
The FIA is the most prestigious award for humanities and Islamic studies in the Islamic world and is held by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in cooperation with the National Elite Foundation and the National Committee of UNESCO.
Participants can share works published or completed from the beginning of Iran 1400 (2021) until the end of Iran 1402 (2023) in this year’s edition. Innovative, research-based works have been accepted, reviewed, evaluated, selected and praised in awards.
The FIA aims to identify talent, best scientific works, theories, new methods and research in the fields of humanities and Islamic research, Isna reported.
Participants will present their research in areas such as “ethics, religion, mysticism.” “History, Geography, Archaeology”; “Law”; “Language, Literature, Linguistics”; “Social Sciences and Communication Sciences”; “Economics, Management, Financial Sciences.” “Educational Science, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Sports Science.” “Political Science, International Relations, Regional Studies.” “Quran science, interpretation, hadith.” “Law and Principles”; “Philosophy, Logic, Theology”; “Theoretical Research of Information Technology, Informatics, and Librarians.” “The Islamic Revolution and the Study of Imam Khomeini”, “Study of Arts and Aesthetics”, “Interdisciplinary Research”, “Committee of Islamic Humanities (Article).”
The event will introduce awards for book categories, final research project reports, doctoral thesis, master’s thesis, and research articles (just the Islamic humanities).
The award receives, reviews, selects works at two young people (under 35 years old) and adult levels, covering both domestic and foreign regions from a territorial perspective. When national regions are involved, all works produced by Iranians are considered, regardless of current location or occupation.
