Tehran – The film “at the day of the day,” directed by Babak Balanbeigi, was recognized in the special ju-degree referee of the best feature film at Kolkata, the 4th World Film Festival, held from August 16th to 21st in India.
The 96-minute drama, produced in 2024, was honored for its “strong portrayal of women’s resilience to patriarchy and authority.”
The film is at a certain stage of emotional relationships in the life of three young women from different generations of small towns, showing that difficult decisions must be made between social pressure and the demands of men’s independence and destiny.
Hanieh Tavasoli, Mahtab Servati, Shayesteh Sajadi, Shabnam Moghadami, and Reza Behbodi are among the cast, among others.
Earlier this year, the film was chosen to be screened in the Global Film Section of India’s 23rd Pune International Film Festival.
The 4th World Film Festival Kolkata was organized by the Film Society Federation in the Eastern Region in cooperation with the IFFS International Film Society Federation (Asia-Pacific).
