Iran’s administration spokesman Fatemeh Mohajerani has announced that President Masoud Pezeshkian’s administration has taken necessary steps to counter the activation of the snapback mechanism, Irna reported.
At a press conference held in Tehran on Tuesday, Mohajerani emphasized that the administration has predicted the scenario and is currently shifting its approach and implementing new strategies and decisions.
Mohajelani noted that despite facing aggressive behavior from the enemy during negotiations, all diplomatic efforts were used to prevent the activation of the snapback mechanism. She said she will introduce a new strategy and provide a positive response to the situation.
Additionally, the spokesman outlined the administration’s commitment to strengthening regional diplomacy with its neighbours following the invigoration of snapback mechanisms. Enhanced relationships with neighbors and cooperation within frameworks such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is currently at the heart of Iran’s foreign policy strategy.
Additionally, she highlighted the importance of global peace efforts regarding the situation in Gaza and referred to the role of Swedish activist Greta Samberg in promoting peace. Mohajerani pointed out that everyone witnessed a ship trying to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza unable to reach its destination. This underscores the importance of the role of young women in promoting world peace.
