In a statement Tuesday, the IRGC said it had hit Israeli military targets with a volley of missiles that retaliated for an overnight attack on Iran, teaching the regime “historical lessons” in introducing them into a ceasefire.
The IRGC said it launched 14 missiles and targeted military and logistics centres across Israel’s occupied territory.
The missile strike was in response to an overnight Israeli attack that killed many Iranians, and the administration taught “historical lessons” that they would never forget, according to the statement.
The latest strike on Israel comes after the IRGC retaliated on Sunday for bombing Iranian nuclear sites in Washington on three Iranian nuclear sites, launching a missile attack on Qatar’s US Air Force Base. US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire within a day after Iran hit American bases.
The strike marked a wave of 22nd Operation Trumis 3, which Iran began on June 13 in response to Israel’s unprovoked attack earlier in the day.
Israel launched an attack war against Iran by assassinating top Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists on strikes and killing civilians in attacks on residential areas in the capital, Tehran and several other cities.
