Tehran – Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Minister of Iranian cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts, praised the Iranian people for demonstrating unity and maturity during a 12-day war with Israel.
In a meeting with his agent on Saturday, Salehi Amiri described the moment as a major test of national strength, calling for collective efforts to reconstruct and seize post-crisis opportunities.
He then recalls the war imposed on Israel and its domestic aftermath, saying, “We have passed a difficult historic transformation, but the real peak is still ahead. Today, we need to redefine the redefinition of relations between the people and the government more than ever before.”
He said that while external and internal observers had anticipated social disruption, anxiety or psychological disruption during the conflict, Iranians instead showed resilience and solidarity.
“This ability to withstand extreme pressure and turn the crisis into national unity is an incredible strength,” he said.
He emphasized that despite economic restrictions and other long-standing demands, Iranian society chose to protect the nation’s dignity and identity at a critical historic moment. “Our sociological assessment shows that Iranians respond to foreign threats with internal cohesion, regardless of their difficulties, that is a strategic asset that we should not lose,” he said.
Referring to what he called the “golden moment” to integrate the strength of the nation, Salehi Amiri warned that the failure to address economic and livelihood issues can be transformed into a social disappointment. “Social capital comes in historical moments, but if it’s not raised, it could erode,” he warned.
The Minister also highlighted the important role of symbols of cultural heritage and national identity in postwar moments and cultural resilience. “Now is the time to pass on concepts like unity, resistance, Iranian identity to future generations. All historical sites, national rituals and handicraft markets must reflect this national solidarity and the historical intelligence of our people,” he said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Salehi Amiri thanked the ministries staff across the country to Zahedan, Zahedan and Aldabil for continuing his duties during the conflict without causing any confusion. He emphasized that while other agencies face operational breakdowns, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage is active and overall involved.
In his final message, he urged a shift from fear and uncertainty to confidence and unity. “The enemy is still fighting a story war. We must rebut it with honesty, rationality, media consistency, public diplomacy. Winning isn’t just on the battlefield. It lives in people’s minds.”
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister also published a field report, summarizing the ministry’s performance in the 12-day war war that was suspended on June 24th.
