TEHRAN – Cultural Heritage Minister Reza Salehi Amiri said the government is separating Iran’s tourism from a wartime recession with two national strategies and 14 operational mechanisms.
He added that a weekly holiday plan was discussed by the Cabinet by the end of the summer so that people could travel along with facilities offered by the government, the IRNA reported.
The minister explained that the plan is related to ratification by the Cabinet, saying, “We have come to this conclusion with the structure of experts and have supported Iran’s tourism industry. We are pursuing it with two motivations. Furthermore, we will maintain employment. Furthermore, we have 570,000 registered jobs with 1.6 million registered positions.
In response to claims about the discovery of uranium enriched at one of Iran’s historic monuments, he states:

Speaking to Iran as one of the top 20 tourist destinations of 2025, he said that three elements of attraction, security and infrastructure are the foundation of this grading.
He noted that the tourism industry is affecting more than 100 jobs, adding:
Egypt is likely high given its historical and religious identity. Currently, 3.5 million tourists have arrived in Iran from Iraq. We are trying to raise the number to 5 million. ”
He said that 50% of Iran’s tourism is in the religious and pilgrimage fields, he continued: “During the postwar period, two macro strategies have been compiled: First, it will develop domestic tourism to restore social vitality and promote foreign tourism with a focus on religion, pilgrimage and medical tourism.
Announcing the arrival of the first flights of tourists in Iraq after the end of the war, he said: “This is the beginning of our path to revitalizing tourism. We have set a goal to restore 50% of the 50% of the horizon for six months.
“We have planned a three-sided package to increase travel that is affordable and accessible. Some of the costs will be secured by the government, but the private sector (hotels and travel agents) will supply another portion and people will pay the rest. The plan will be studied in Cabinet next week.”
Salehi-Amiri continued that 570,000 people work in the craft sector and 1.6 million people are involved in the tourism sector. Preserving this employment capacity is one of the government’s top priorities, he added.

He expressed his hope that this will be achieved, with the news that monuments such as Alamute Castle and the historical textures of Masle are in a possible process of World Heritage registration.
Salehi-Amiri addressed Iranians overseas, saying, “President Masoud Pezeshkian has always paid tribute to this noble and patriotic society. In recent wars, he also saw that concerns abroad are their homeland.
