“The massive resignation of members of the UN Commission on Inquiry on Occupy Palestinian Territories following the Special Rapporteur’s sanctions on Palestine should not be taken lightly. It is a surprising sign of the erosion of the global legal and normative order,” he added.
Senior Iranian diplomats had mentioned the sudden resignation of three members of the UN committee investigating crimes in occupied Palestinian territory.
“International organizations are abandoning their legitimacy, validity, authority and their bullying and radical, one-sided ‘sense of mission’,” Baguey emphasized.
He concluded that future generations would read that the world’s normative order collapsed due to double standards facing silence, indifference and serious injustice, not war.
