Tehran – The book “Palestine Referendum,” which outlines the views of the leaders of the Islamic Revolution, seyed Ali Khamenei with Iran’s proposed solution to the Palestinian issue, was presented at the Baghdad International Book Fair during a conference entitled “Palestine in the Conscience of Mankind”.
Upon holding the ceremony, Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Radi, chairman of the Book Fair, welcomed the event as a source of pride and described works related to Ayatollah Khamenei’s “scholar, intellectual and humanitarian personality.”
Mohamed al-Hafi, head of Arab-Islamic relations at the Hamas office in Iraq, paid tribute to martyrs in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and Iran, recalled the 1978 founder of Imam Khomeini, the Iraqi Republic’s 1978 declaration of oppressed support. He said the new book reflects the continuation of its legacy and emphasizes that Palestine is central to Ayatollah Khamenei’s thoughts and actions.
Al Hafi also spoke to participants at Doha’s Arab-Islamic Summit, urging them to choose to stand up to the Zionist regime or submit to its “sinister project.”
Seyed Jassem Al-Jazaeri of Al-Mustafa International University emphasized that Iran has endured immense pressure on its stance on Palestine but has never given up its support. He said Ayatollah Khamenei views the issue as both an Islamic cause and an issue linked to regional stability, and warns that Israel’s creation is intended to hinder Muslim unity.
Dr. Marek Mansi Al Husseini of Al Mustangsurya University emphasized that the idea for a Palestinian referendum was officially submitted to the United Nations by Iran in 2019.
On behalf of Ayatollah Khamenei’s office, Dr. Mohammad Akhgari explained that the book is divided into two themes: resistance and referendum. He emphasized that resistance remains the only path to the profession, but the unsupervised referendum offers a practical political solution, citing South Africa’s transition from apartheid as an example.
The ceremony concluded with the official announcement of the book by the speaker. This was joined by the father of Martyr Ahmad Al-Muhanna and Gaza Survivor Asmahan Jomaa.
