Araghchi reiterated that, according to Press TV, meaningful advances can only be achieved through negotiations rather than media stories, in response to a report by Fox News.
In a post on his X account, the top Iranian diplomat wrote:
He pointed out that Iran is sincere about diplomatic solutions that serve the interests of all sides but can reach there.
Araguchi also criticized what he described as disinformation aimed at diplomatic derailment, criticising Israel for using Israel as a tool to trust American critics, calling such tactics “low”, calling even Israel’s standards “low”, and warning that it undermines real efforts to resolve tensions through dialogue.
“The road to negotiation, not the media, goes through the negotiation table. When it comes to the latest fake news on Iran and the US diplomacy, using Iran to attack American critics is also low for Israel,” he added.
The US and Iran have been holding five rounds of nuclear talks starting April 12th, and are expected to meet again for negotiations aimed at reaching a new agreement. The two countries are at odds at the level of uranium enrichment.
US President Donald Trump said he personally warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday to not disrupt the talks.
