The U.S. Department of Defense has confirmed its intention to reduce Syrian military forces to less than 1,000 troops in the coming months, according to a statement from U.S. Secretary of Defense Sean Parnell.
“The integration reflects important measures towards decomposed ISIS regionally and globally, and this intentional and conditional-based process claimed to bring down the US forces of Syria’s US forces to less than the coming months, Tas reported.
It added that the US Central Command will remain poised to continue its strike against the remains of ISIL in Syria.
On Thursday, the New York Times (NYT), citing the source, reported that Syria’s US conditions could be cut to 500 troops. Sources say three of the eight US bases in the country’s northeastern region could be closed.
According to Arab sources, the US is beginning to withdraw special units from the state of Deir Ez-Zor.
