In a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Iranian Foreign Minister recently condemned recent terrorist attacks in cities in Sistan and Balchestan provinces in southeastern Iran, resulting in the deaths of several Pakistani citizens. He also emphasized the Islamic Republic’s resolve to identify and punish perpetrators and instigators of crimes.
The top Pakistani diplomat thanked his Iranian counterparts for his sympathy and for his efforts to indict and punish the perpetrators and creators of such terrorist acts, and emphasized his country’s preparations to work with Iran to confront the ominous phenomenon of terrorism.
Foreign ministers of Iran and Pakistan also exchanged opinions and awarded bilateral relations, regional and international developments.
Iran’s Foreign Minister thanked Pakistan for his constructive stance on Muscat talks between Iran and the United States last Saturday, giving information about his Pakistan’s response on Iran’s principled position in Pakistan’s talks.
Senator Mohammad Ishak Dal expressed his appreciation for the information provided by the Iranian Foreign Minister and welcomed the consultation process.
He also expressed his hope that these consultations will have positive outcomes for Iran and the region as a whole, and emphasized that Pakistan is ready to support the process.
