Russian military personnel have acquired 32 settlements in the Kursk region since August 6th last year, according to TASS estimates based on reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
On March 8th and 9th alone, seven settlements were captured, including Malaya Lokunya, Cherkaskoye Poretzenoye, Kositza, Rebedebeka, Viktrovka, Nikolaevka and Starya Solinaina, with the decisive action of the battle group North.
In February, the Army regained control of five regions: Pogrebki, Orlovka, Nikolsky, Novaya Sorchina, and Sverdlikovo.
As of January 17, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 63.2% (801 square kilometers) of the Kursk region had been captured. During the first two weeks of January, as part of the offensive operation, units in Battle Group North acquired four settlements: Alexandriya, Leonidovo, Lascorporeknoy and Krugrenkoh. Additionally, Nikolayevo-Daryino was released on January 31st.
In December 2024, the Army occupied three regions: Plekhovo, Daryino and Novoivanovka.
Last September, the maximum number of settlements was returned, reaching 12. These were Uspenovka, Borki, Apanasovka, Byakhovo, Vishnevka, Viktorovka, Vnezapnoye, Gordeevka, Krasnooktyabrskoye, Obukhovka, Snagost, and October 10th.
