Konkur is held annually in Iran and several other countries in June or July. Every year, participants compete in multiple choice exams to get the best possible results as there are limited seats in public universities with no tuition fees.
Based on the numbers, only 20% of students can win free public university seats.
It includes three main groups: mathematical science, experimental science, and human science, as well as two other arts and foreign language groups.
Depending on how well the students performed in the exam, they will choose the field and university they want to study.
