There is not much information and visibility as to what is happening behind closed doors in Muscat.
However, Al Jazeera learned from sources close to negotiation that both parties were asked to create position papers, laying out areas that appear to be important for the discussion and its red lines.
These two papers are exchanged so that each can see the crucial position on the opposite side about this.
Iran said these talks should be limited to nuclear issues, sources said.
Another thing we understand is related to the question of whether these lectures are direct or indirect, and Omani people move from room to room, speaking on either side.
“Our understanding from sources is that Iranians have not directed them to hold a meeting directly from Tehran,” the source said.
