In a meeting with Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsibilev in Tehran on Wednesday evening, President Pezeshkian emphasized that independent states can advance their nation towards growth and development without relying on unilateral power.
The President further expressed optimism about continued cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the commitment from both sides to promote the implementation of the agreement.
He emphasized the determination that both countries share in realizing their cooperation agreements, particularly in the transport, energy and power generation sectors.
The President emphasized the importance of quickly translating results from a meeting of experts into practical results, urging ministers and technical teams to work diligently to achieve these goals.
Pezeschkian also conveyed his hope that diplomatic exchanges between the two countries would lead to a wider development of their friendly relations. The Iranian president asked Minister Tsibilev to be warmly promoted with regard to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Minister Tsivilev gave President Putin’s speech and provided an update on his visit to Iran, where he met with various officials and discussed the implementation of bilateral agreements, particularly what was established during the Joint Economic Committee.
The resolve of both countries’ high-ranking officials has emerged in the framework of the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Committee, the minister said.
Tsivilev expressed his gratitude to President Pezeschkian for his commitment to advance mutual agreements, particularly in the transport, energy and power generation sectors. He asserted that Russia is ready to implement bilateral agreements promptly and that obstacles, pressure or sanctions cannot disrupt trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
