Ahmad Nouhegal, director of the Institute of Marine Science at Tehran University International Campus University, said the conference, which will be announced simultaneously with National Gulf Coast Day in the Persian Gulf, will feature a workshop on the issue of environmental conservation and water transfer in the Persian Gulf.
So far, the event’s secretariat has received 117 research papers and is expecting up to 130, he added.
He said 50 papers have already been approved for presentations: 10 as posters and 40 as verbal speeches.
The submission includes contributions from Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, China, Norway, the Czech Republic and the US, Nouhegar said.
He continued at the conference, he mentioned important topics in marine environmental science, biodiversity, coastal pollution, climate change, ecotourism, sustainable port development strategies and energy system governance.
The event promises to shape future debates about marine science, sustainable development and environmental innovation.
