The Australian government said on Saturday in a statement that the country officially recognizes the Palestinian state.
Canada issued a statement on Saturday recognizing Palestine as a provincial. According to Prime Minister Mark Carney, Canada has officially recognized Palestine.
“The current Israeli government is working orderly to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, pursuing a relentless policy of expanding settlements in the West Bank, which is illegal under international law.
“The fact that there is no Palestinian state at the moment is the current notarization policy of the Israeli government.”
“In this context, Canada recognizes Palestinian province and offers our partnership to build the promise of a peaceful future for both Palestinian and Israel.”
Amid the historic move, the UK recognizes the Palestinian state, Al Jazeera reported.
The move comes after Canada and Australia officially recognized the Palestinian state just a short time ago.
