Without condemning Israel’s attack on Iranian soil, the UN Commission on Facts and the Special Rapporteur on Iranian Issues issued a statement in a statement called to parties fighting to immediately respect international law and protest against civilians who suffered the greatest loss.
The Israeli regime is targeting military centres, but the committee and the UN Special Rapporteur said several attacks, including targeting the IRIB building, which led to the killing of three staff members and the killing of nuclear scientists, were carried out by the Israeli regime for gross violations of international law.
Other reported attacks have led to the loss of civilians and considerable destruction of civilian infrastructure, and this issue creates serious concern under international humanitarian law.
