Pololikashvili wrote to the Minister of Iranian cultural heritage, tourism and crafts Reza Salehi Amiri, where he said in a press release on Monday by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts.
In his letter, Pololikashvili emphasized the importance of maintaining structural cooperation between Iran and the World Tourism Organization.
He praised the 18th Tehran International Tourism and Related Industry Exhibition (Tite), held from February 11-14, and described it as an incredible platform to promote modern international tourism interactions.
Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, Secretary-General of the D-8 Economic Cooperation Agency, also wrote a letter to Salehi-Amiri, according to the same press release from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts.
Abdulqadir emphasized the importance of using continuous interaction and capabilities in the field of tourism.
He mentioned the 18th Tehran International Tourism and Related Industry Exhibition, and said the event demonstrates Iran’s outstanding position in “tourism diplomacy.”
He proposed that a joint meeting be held between private sector representatives and the Deputy Minister of Culture of the D-8 member states to draw out the roadmap for the tourism industry joint venture.
