During a meeting with Yemeni UN envoy Hans Glanberg held in Tehran on Saturday, Aragucci denounced continued military attacks by the US in various parts of the Arab country, denounced the killing of civilians and the destruction of their infrastructure.
“The US military attack on Yemen, in line with the Zionist regime’s genocide in Gaza and the intensifying attacks on Lebanon and Syria, is just another indication of the US conspiracy in Israel’s lawlessness and alliance with this regime spreading regional instability and instability,” Presstv said.
He regrets the US has a “unrealistic” understanding of Yemeni people and the local community, urging American politicians to recognize that the Palestine occupation and continued genocide are the root cause of local unrest.
American politicians must understand that by attacking Yemen and killing innocent Yemeni people, the US cannot claim to restore stability to the region,” Iran’s top diplomat emphasized.
He pointed out that the only crimes of the people of Yemen are their solidarity and support for the oppressed Palestinians.
Iranian diplomats criticized the UN Security Council for refraining from conducting by the US and Israeli regimes regarding blatant violations of the UN Charter and international law.
He said the UN should take prompt and effective measures to end violations of the law.
The US and its allies escalated their attacks on Yemen after resuming anti-Israel operations against the regime’s new genocide in Gaza.
Washington said the Ansala Resistance will use overwhelming force until it stops anti-Israel operations.
The greatest benefactors of the Israeli regime, the United States and Britain have mercilessly bombed Yemen over the past few days, killing dozens, mostly women and children, in desperate attempts to stop Yemen’s military operations against Israel.
Grandberg welcomed the continued support of Iran for the UN’s bid to pursue Yemen’s peace process.
The UN envoy said that establishing stability and peace in Yemen is an urgent need not only for Yemen but also for the safety and stability of the entire region.
He added that the UN should use its greatest capabilities to restore peace and stability in Yemen.
At a previous meeting on Saturday, Grandberg and Iranian deputy minister Majid Takt Ravanch exchanged opinions on the dangerous situation in Yemen.
In a post on his X account after the meeting, Takht Ravanchi rejected a military solution to the Yemen crisis and said the US must stop a heavy attack on the country.
Yemeni Media reported on Saturday that the US carried out 14 strikes in the outskirts of Saada city, killing one person and wounding four others.
The latest attacks came after the US targeted more than 40 locations across Yemen, including its capital Sanaa, and then damaged multiple home construction and shops.
