“We’re very close, and we can even sign this week as early as possible,” he told Bloomberg, commenting on the deal.
On April 11 and 12, representatives from Ukraine and the US held technical consultations to discuss the terms of Ukraine’s natural resources trade. Ukrainian Prime Minister Dennis Schmigarh then reported that talks were continuing, Tass reported.
The mineral trade has previously collapsed on February 28th due to an oral vomit between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and President Donald Trump at the White House. The latest proposal calls for revenue from natural resources, all of Ukraine’s revenue from natural resources, in repayment of the approximately $120 billion worth of aid that Washington has provided to Kiev. The US will manage its investment funds to help Ukraine recover as part of the transaction.
Since then, Ukrainian officials have repeatedly said they have been considering terms, but Zelensky complains that Washington has changed the original terms of the contract.
