In an interview with Al Mayadeen TV, Saeed Khatibzadeh said Washington must compensate Iran for damages arising at the nuclear facility.
He said Iran will file a complaint against the United States at the United Nations.
The Zionist regime fought a war of aggression against Iran on June 13, attacking Iranian troops, nuclear power and residential areas for 12 days, but the US carried out a military attack on three nuclear sites in Iran, Natanz, Fordau and Isfahan on June 22.
Iranian troops carried out a powerful counterattack shortly after the attack. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force implemented 22 waves of retaliation missiles against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III, which caused significant losses to cities across the occupying territories.
He said the ceasefire that came into effect on June 24th put a halt on the battle.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Iranian state had imposed its will on the Zionist regime through resistance and forced the enemy to unilaterally stop the attack.
While the US sent messages to Iran through various channels, Tehran argued that acts of invasion must first be stopped before decisions regarding a ceasefire, he added.
Khatibzadeh emphasized that Iran has not made any written agreements with the Zionist regime that could contain certain clauses. “What happened was the halt of the attack by the Zionists. In parallel, Iran does not begin a strike despite being prepared,” he explained.
