Ali Akbar Velayati made a speech on Friday, commenting on the Israeli regime’s recent war on the US-backed Islamic Republic.
In the 12-day war, Washington attacked unprecedented military and intelligence support, taking part in towards the end of the 12-day period. The duo used the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recent anti-Iranian resolution to engage in aggression.
Velayati emphasized the country’s claim that it would not abandon its qualifications for scientific technological advances, including in the field of peaceful nuclear energy, despite efforts by the West and Israel that undermine the country’s legitimate efforts.
“The Iranian state has always been stubborn to pressure, threats and aggression and will never surrender,” he said.
The official added, “We will continue to move forward with unprecedented determination on the path to scientific advancement, technological independence and (preserving the respect of the people).”
Similarly, the advisor emphasized that “there is no force to prevent the Iranian state from achieving legitimate rights.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Belayati said that legal and diplomatic pursuit of these crimes through international authorities, particularly the United Nations, lies on the agenda of the Islamic Republic in line with the country’s legitimate right to a proportional response.
He further condemned the combination of attacks as a clear violation of the imperative norms of international law, highlighting the legal and moral responsibility of the United Nations to recognize the Israeli regime and the United States as invaders.
He added that global groups must take appropriate punitive action against Tel Aviv and Washington, requiring the Islamic Republic to compensate for material and moral damages caused during the atrocities.
