TEHRAN – Three foreign plays will be performed in the international section of the 6th International Short Drama Festival of Kish, which opens on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf on Saturday.
According to Honalonline, the foreign plays that will be performed include “Worse and the Laugh” by France’s Aurélie Roxane Imbert, “The Shakespeare Maniac” by Turkey’s Aziz Saidut, and “Tayraak” by Pakistan’s Ashmal Nazir Lalwani.
According to the Public Relations and International Department of the Kish Free Zone Organization, the festival’s secretariat will organize the sixth edition of this artistic event with the aim of promoting new forms of theater, strengthening the identity of performances by the seaside and in cafes, and supporting experimental and interdisciplinary theater companies.
This year’s festival revolves around themes such as family and social vitality, peace, unity, promoting national cohesion, the importance of environmental protection, modern human life, and issues related to the Persian Gulf. event
As stated in the application guidelines, the 6th edition will feature the cafe theater, beach theater, proposal and production concept, shipboard theater, and theatrical photography categories. Theater groups and individual artists are invited to participate in the event in line with its purpose and thematic focus.
The 6th Kish International Short Theater Festival, directed by Abbas Nadjari, will be held from October 18th to 21st.
