TEHRAN – In a coordinated defence operation, Iran’s security and intelligence agency successfully detected and defeated three hostile drones trying to invade rural areas near Malayan cities in the western region.
Sources said the operation involved a squad of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, the Ministry of Intelligence, Law Enforcement Command and air defense forces stationed in the Kondab region.
The drone was detected during daily surveillance as it approached the outskirts of Maraea with the obvious intention of carrying out sabotage and causing anxiety in the area. Thanks to the vigilance of Iran’s integrated defense network, microair vehicles were intercepted and neutralised before reaching their targets.
Field reports show that drones are under continuous observation through sophisticated monitoring systems. The Iranian army’s rapid and accurate response prevented any disruption and damage on the ground.
Security and defense officials emphasized the 24/7 surveillance and intelligence reporting activities in key regions of the country. “Subjective movements in Iran’s airspace are closely monitored and the threat is countered without delay,” they noted.
The incident comes amid growing tensions in the region, with Iranian authorities reaffirming their commitment to protecting the territorial integrity and national security of the state from the threat of foreign or terrorists.
