In response to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, Abbas Araguchi, who said during a briefing earlier Monday that Tehran enrichment was the US red line, led the Iranian negotiation team in nuclear talks with the US, told journalists in Tehran.
“We cannot allow even 1% of our enrichment capacity,” Reed negotiator Steve Witkoff said in an interview with ABC News on Sunday.
Iran and the US delegations held four rounds of indirect talks on Tehran’s nuclear program and lifting US sanctions in Oman’s capital Muscat and Rome, Italy.
Meanwhile, Iran and three European countries – France, Germany and the UK, collectively referred to as E3, held a high-level meeting in Istanbul in Türkiye on Friday on the latest development of indirect talks between Iran and the US.
