The opening ceremony of Russian Culture Week in Iran was held at Vadat Hall on Tuesday night in the presence of Russian Minister of Culture, Russian counterpart Olga Bolisovna Libimova, Russian traditional music and dance groups, and many artistic and cultural enthusiasts.
At the start of the event, Russian Minister of Culture, Olga Bolisovna Livimova warmly welcomed attendees to the opening ceremony of Russian Culture Week in Iran. “The cultural relations between Iran and Russia have a long and centuries-long history built on mutual respect, the rich culture of both countries, and joint efforts to preserve the shared heritage.”
Various programs planned for Russian Culture Week in Tehran, Isfahan
“It is no coincidence that during the Iranian Russia Summit in Moscow last January, the decision was made to hold this major cultural event at the highest level. Music group performances, Russian symphony orchestra, traditional Russian dance at Vahdat Hall
After the speech, various groups took the stage, including the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, musicians, traditional dancers, rhythmic and passionate white folk dance performers, Les Ginka Ensemble and soloists. Their performance was warmly accepted and praised by the audience.
It should be noted that over 110 well-known Russian artists have participated in areas such as music, film and visual arts throughout Russian Culture Week, with an official delegation of over 130 people and a cultural committee in total.
The events include performances of the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra in Tehran and Isfahan, programs by the famous Rezginka Art Group, Russian Film Week (Book Garden) and Isfahan (City Cinema Hall) in Tehran, a special conference on Russian Cinema, and a cultural exhibition of visual arts and handkarn products.
This cultural event will be held within the framework of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the two countries, signed and implemented in January 2025.
