Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, met with Armenian Security Council Amen Grigoryan in Tehran.
Details of the meeting have not been released yet.
At the beginning of August, Larijani and Grigorian held a telephone conversation to discuss the bilateral relationship between Tehran and Yerevan.
During the telephone conversation, Grigorian pointed out that an institutional relationship has been established between Armenia and Iran, and hoped that the implementation of the effective agreement will continue, while expressing that new directions for cooperation will soon be outlined.
Ali Larijani emphasized that its relationship with Armenia has strategic significance for Iran.
He added that bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Iran has always had positive results and is ready to bring his contribution to multi-sectoral cooperation.
