IRGC Deputy Coordinator Ali Fazli highlighted its strategic significance and reaffirmed its commitment to operation. “The first and second phases of the ‘true promise’ have already been met, and the third phase will proceed as planned,” he said.
He referenced Ayatollah Ruhola Khomeini’s well-known statement on the liberation of Kolamshah, stressing that its recapture was not merely a military outcome, but a victory over Islamic values. “The liberation of Khorramshahr was not merely about reclaiming the land. It was about defending the principles of Islam,” Fazli said.
Pointing to the broader regional context, Fazli highlighted the continued role of the resistance front, which stretches from Yemen to Gaza in supporting these values. “The patience of these fighters is evidence of the same ideology that led us during their sacred defense,” he pointed out.
“The third phase will be performed at the specified time, as the first and second phases have been successfully completed,” he repeated.
Iran warned that military operations against Israel are merely reserve measures, and senior commanders suggested that more important actions could continue.
IRGC Commander Major Hossein Salami said on Wednesday that the true promises I and II operations were intended as warnings and highlighted Iran’s growing military capabilities.
In December 2024, IRGC Deputy Commander Admiral Ali Fadavi vowed to launch a third operation in response to Israel’s October 26 airstrike, killing four Iranians.
