“Trump cannot operate his threat to zero Iran’s oil exports,” the IRGC Navy Commander on Saturday marks the 46th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, which appeared on national television on Sunday. I stated in my remarks for this.
“We resisted these (pressures) for 46 years. They certainly can’t beat a stronger country with sanctions,” Tangsiri added.
His remarks came after Trump’s orders restored the so-called maximum pressure policy of his first term, which aimed to drive Iran’s Islamic Republic to zero.
Trump failed that campaign in his first term at the White House, so he pointed out in the future.
“Efforts are being made to station forces and military equipment, along with the cooperation of the Army, IRGC and the Basij Navy, throughout the 2,200 kilometres of Iran’s coastline,” he said.
“We have the military capabilities to close the Strait of Hormuz, but as long as we use it ourselves, we have not,” the IRGC Navy Commander said.
Tangsiri further stated that the army would build missile cities under the mountains and that enemy bunkerbusters would not harm them.
