US President Donald Trump will host staff in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia and Pakistan, White House spokesman Karoline Leavitt announced on Monday for a multilateral meeting with Gaza.
According to Axios, Trump presents proposals centered on liberating prisoners, ending the war and promoting Israel’s withdrawal, pushing Arab and Muslim nations to contribute strength and reconstruction funds.
The talks are scheduled as dozens of world leaders at the UN General Assembly express their support for the Palestinian state, a shift resisted by Washington and Israel.
Almost two years after the Israeli war, the operation killed more than 65,000 people, expelled the entire population of Gaza, causing a situation of hunger. Rights experts and UN research have rated the campaign as a genocide equivalent.
