Speaking to Mehr in an interview, Ukrainian journalist Dimitri Vasyl pointed to the recently released US-Russia talks in Ukraine, saying the outcome of the talks was a ceasefire rather than a peace.
Commentators said Russia had to support the Republic of Donbas in eastern Ukraine between 2014 and 2022, eventually bringing the Minsk agreement. The Minsk Agreement was a series of international agreements that sought to end the Donbas War, which was fought between armed Russian separatist groups and Ukrainian forces.
He denounced President Zelensky for pledging to provide Ukrainian property to the US government, saying, “Millions of hectares of farmland in Ukraine are private and belonging to the Ukrainian people, and the land is evident. They have no authority to sell to foreigners, because the original owner is Ukrainian,” the Ukrainian said.
“When Zelensky assumed power, he passed the law under the pretense of the Covid-19 pandemic, which allowed us to sell our land as if it were a commodity. The European Union,” he said. I continued.
“Our country is indirectly controlled by Western countries. Yes, the flag, national anthem, and the symbols of power may be the same as before, but in reality, our country is not the same as other. It is controlled by the country,” Vasyl further pointed out. .
In the meantime, he said he would not agree to grant Ukrainian land to the West as an unacceptable deal to Moscow.
Vasyl said, “For the people of Ukrainians, what is currently happening in their country is a war to free their homeland from NATO control.”
He said that Russia’s operations in Ukraine were to force NATO and G7 from there, rather than occupying Ukraine.
The journalist also said that the Western countries are involved in the hybrid occupation in Ukraine, with ports and railways involved in the way that they are under foreign control. “Russia is fighting this issue with all its strength. It seems that the Ukrainian army is under the control of the Ukrainian government, but in reality, this army has become civilian forces in Western countries. Ukraine is what is now Authorities have commented on the issue many times: the fight against Russia.”
“In the last three years since the war broke out, the Western countries have spent $500 billion, so it is very important for the West to maintain Ukraine. With these investments, they will later become fully committed to Ukraine. This is because we can assert sovereignty. Vasyl concluded.
