Trump posted a comment on the US social media company Truth Social’s Platform on Tuesday, which he owns.
He said many Americans lost their lives in the Chinese struggle for victory and expressed hope that their courage and sacrifice would be “just respected and remembered.”

The parade of Tiananmen Square featured radical military capabilities, all domestically manufactured, including marching formations, armored columns, airborne elevated roads, unmanned systems, cyber and electronic warfare tools, underwater combat equipment, and radical weapons.
A gun salute opened the event and greeted the world leaders as Xi and his wife, Penn Liyuan, arrived at the venue.
Xi said in the parade that humanity faced a choice of peace and war, urging countries around the world to eliminate the root cause of conflict and prevent the recurrence of historic tragedy.
Leaders attended include Iranian President Masudo Pezeshkian, Pakistan Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif, Myanmar Prime Minister Junta, Min Ang Frening, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fiko, Serbian President Alexander Vicz, Mongolian President Krerulf Uknaa, and Azbek President Shavkat Miliyoiyoiyoon Belaru faction.
The parade commemorates China’s victory in the struggle against Japanese occupation during World War II.
The last major military parade marking this opportunity took place in 2015.
