“All tariffs remain in effect,” Trump wrote on the True Social on social media platforms, calling for a decision by the Federal Circuit partisan and false court of appeals.
The court confirmed the lower court’s decision that found Trump’s executive order exceeded presidential authorities, the Anadoll Agency (AA) reported.
The International Trade Court upheld a decision that overturned five executive orders establishing indefinite tariffs on virtually all imports from almost every country.
Several states, including Oregon, Arizona, Colorado and New York, have challenged the tariffs along with businesses.
Trump characterized the ruling as potentially devastating for the nation, warning that the removal of tariffs would be a “complete disaster for the nation” and would “make America financially weaker.”
He said the US would no longer tolerate “huge trade deficits and unfair tariffs” from other countries that undermine domestic manufacturers and farmers.
Trump escalated his rhetoric by claiming that the decision “literally destroys the United States.”
