In an interview with radio host Clay Travis, Trump was asked directly: “Do you think Oswald killed JFK personally?” He said, “I did and I always felt that. Of course, he… helped,” according to the Hill Newspaper.
Trump also commented on the recent release of declassified files related to the incident, Anadolu News Agency reported.
“I don’t think there’s anything to crush the earth,” he said.
He added that individuals can “decidify” themselves about events.
The FBI and the Justice Department have long argued that Oswald acted alone, but public skepticism has been on his way for decades.
Oswald denied responsibility and was killed two days after Jack Ruby’s assassination.
Hill also said that the newly released files have not confirmed the plot, but has resumed debate surrounding one of the most scrutinized events in American history.
The assassination of former US President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963 remains a critical moment in American history.
For decades, the incident has fueled widespread speculation about government transparency and public demand.
