The US president has given Ukrainian counterparts a dull warning about the risk of escalating the war with Russia, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said Friday after a heated debate between Donald Trump and Volodymia Zerunky in the oval office.
“A fierce dress down in an oval office. Trump told the truth for the first time (Zelensky’s) face: The Kiev administration is playing in World War II,” Medvedev said in a Telegram post.
“This is convenient, but it’s not enough – we need to stop military aid…” he added, repeating his call for an end to Western support for Kiev.
The comments came after Zelensky was caught up in a heated war of words with Vice President J.D. Vance in his oval office with Trump.
