TEHRAN – Global response to his controversial plans continues to rise as US President Donald Trump poses an increased threat to remove Palestinians from Gaza.
Both US allies and enemies appear to agree that Trump’s proposal violates international law.
Some of the important reactions to these plans are:
Palestine
The Hamas movement vehemently criticised Trump’s statement that the US was occupying the Gaza Strip and chasing away its residents, and rejected its statement altogether.
Hamas emphasized that these statements are hostile to the Palestinian people and that their cause does not contribute to regional stability and only exacerbate tensions.
The movement states, “We, we, our resilient Palestinians and their active forces, and every nation in the world will occupy our lands and protect our great Palestinian nations. We affirm that we will not allow the imposed of the Palestinian state with Al-Kud (Jerusalem) as our capital.”
Hamas called on the US administration and President Trump to retract these irresponsible statements that contradict international law and the natural rights of the Palestinians.
The movement also urged the Arab League, Islamic cooperation organisations, and the United Nations to urgently convene these dangerous statements to address the national rights of the Palestinians, their right to self-determination, and Jerusalem and Established as the capital of the province.
Hamas’ official Sami Abu Zuri described Trump’s remarks as “silly and absurd.”
“This kind of idea can be ignited in this area,” he added.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihadist movement argued that “Trump’s statement undoubtedly proves that his administration is leading a war of extinction, evacuation and expansion.”
Saudi Arabia
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reaffirmed its unwavering attitude towards the establishment of the Kingdom’s company and the Palestinian state.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the ministry emphasized that “the Crown Prince has confirmed the kingdom’s position clearly and in a way that does not leave room for interpretation under any circumstances.”
The statement added that Saudi Arabia “strongly refuses any attempt to drive Palestinians out of their lands,” and that he “stithesly opposes violations of Palestinian rights through reconciliation, annexation or evacuation.”
The ministry called on the international community to “relieve the serious humanitarian suffering of Palestinians.
The statement reiterated Saudi Arabia’s fixed position. “There is no room for negotiation or negotiation. Palestinians cannot achieve peace without their rights.”
Egyptian
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry emphasized the importance of not removing Palestinians from Gaza, but moving forward with early recovery projects and ensuring access to rapid humanitarian assistance.
Jordan
Jordan condemned the plan and repeatedly supported the Palestinian cause. The Jordanian Foreign Ministry said, “We completely reject the idea of relocating Palestinians. The only solution is the solution for two states where Palestinians enjoy legitimate rights.”
On Saturday, Arab countries Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Palestinian authorities and the Arab League issued a joint statement denies plans to move Palestinians from Gaza and occupied West Bank territory.
An Arab statement warned that such a plan would “threate regional stability, risk expanding conflict, and undermine the prospects of peace and coexistence of its people.”
turkey
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also rejected Trump’s statement.
He told Turkish Anadoru agency that Trump’s comments about US control over Gaza were “unacceptable” and that plans to exclude Palestinians would “reduce more conflict.”
Spain
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Alvarez Bueno said, “Gaza is a Palestinian land and must remain for its people.”
France
The French Foreign Ministry said Gaza’s future must have been part of the future state under the supervision of Palestinian authorities, not under the control of third-party states. He added that forced movement of Gaza residents would be a serious violation of international law.
Russia

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov described Trump’s comments about banishing Palestinians from Gaza as part of his “Western cancellation policy.”
Scotland
Scotland’s first minister, John Swinney, denounced Trump’s plan, calling it “unacceptable and dangerous” by calling it “unacceptable and dangerous.”
In a social media post, Swinney wrote: “After months of collective punishment and the deaths of more than 40,000 people in Gaza, it is unacceptable and dangerous for Palestinians to be removed from their homes. There is no ethnic cleansing.”
China
China’s Foreign Ministry responded to Trump’s comments, opposed the forced movement of Gaza residents.
“China has always believed that Palestinians governing Palestine are the fundamental principles of post-conflict governance,” said Lin Zian, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Australia
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Wednesday that the government supported a solution for two states in the Middle East.
“Australia’s position is the same as last year, as it was this morning,” Albanese said at a press conference.

united nations

Human rights organizations
Human rights groups have strongly criticised Trump’s proposal, citing concerns about international law, Palestinian rights, and the possibility of further destabilization of the region.
Here are some notable reactions:
Human Rights Watch (HRW)

Euromediteran’s Human Rights Monitor
The Euromediter Human Rights Monitor said that promoting such a plan would violate the safety of Palestinian people’s homelands and constitute a “crime against humanity and war crimes.” .
UNHCR
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) also strongly opposed the idea. The spokesman said that forced movement of the population is “a direct violation of international humanitarian law.” The United Nations has repeatedly emphasized the need for a negotiated solution that respects the right of Palestinians to return to their homes.
