Turkey has communicated to Israeli authorities its views on Israeli air attacks in Syria via intelligence agency, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan added on Wednesday that Ankara is in close contact with the regional powers and the United States.
Turkey has condemned Israel’s strikes against other regions such as Lebanon, Iran and Syria, calling military attacks on Gaza genocide. It halted all trade and reminded the ambassador of Tel Aviv for consultation.
Speaking to the New York state media, Fidan said he was in close contact with Syrian US envoy and Turkish US ambassador Tom Barrack, adding that he had discussed the issue over calls with Arabs in Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
“At the same time, we have communicated our own views on the issue to the Israelis through the intelligence reporting agency that we do not want instability here,” Fidan said, adding that the new Syrian regime cannot resolve the conflict without measures to ensure the security of the region.
