Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed satisfaction in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart with the good trends in Ankara-Tehran relations.
He also emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between two neighbors in all areas of mutual interest.
Fidan then highlighted the need for continued support by all Islamic countries for Palestinian rights.
The Turkish Foreign Minister welcomed the proposal by his Iranian counterpart to hold an emergency meeting of the OIC.
On his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut highlighted the country’s strong opposition to the forced displacement of Palestinians from Palestine, explaining the plot as a continuation of the Palestinian genocide program.
He emphasized the need to adopt a firm, unified stance by Islamic countries to counter the plot, and called for an immediate meeting of the OIC to address the issue.
Referring to the very good bilateral relations, Iran’s Foreign Minister welcomed the recent political talks between Iran and Turkey, chaired by the vice ministers of both countries.
Araghchi emphasized the importance of continuing regular consultations to expand relations in various fields.
