“The Miane Ardabil railway project, which includes the station and Chabahar Zahedan, which we have been waiting for for many years, will be completed by the end of the year,” said Prime Minister Farzaneh Sadegh, who inspected the highway north of Karaj, the capital of Al-Borzeh province, which borders the capital Tehran, on Saturday.
Miane is located in the East Azerbaijan province in northwestern Iran, while Ardabil is a province and capital of northern Iran on the border with the Republic of Azerbaijan. Chabahar is a port city on the Sea of Oman, and Zahedan is the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan provinces in southeastern Iran. The two railways connect different regions of the country and are part of the International North-South Transport Corridor across Iran.
Regarding the Tehran North Expressway, the minister said, “After the recent opening of yet another section of this highway, the implementation of the next section will begin soon.”
