According to the judiciary, terrorists were building homemade mortars and targeted housing, services and educational facilities.
Alias Fardin, and Vers Evsani Eslamur, Mehdi Hassani of Alias Behazad, were members of the operational terrorists of MKO, who produced launchers and homemade mortar, causing damage and casualties to citizens, families, services and administrative centres, educational institutions and charity. Their aim was to disrupt the social order and put the safety of innocent civilians at risk.
They were brought to trial and hanged Sunday morning after full legal proceedings and confirmation of the Supreme Court’s decision.
According to case documents, Mehdi Hassani joined the MKO terrorist group several years ago and was in contact with the group’s operational handlers.
Behrouz Ehsani-Eslamlou has been a member of MKO since the 1980s and after being released from prison for that decade, he rejoined the group.
With coordination from the MKO operational handlers, the terrorists set up a safe home in Tehran where they produced launchers and mortar. They also carried out propaganda and harassment activities to support MKOs.
Other actions committed by the two terrorists include destroying public property, gathering intelligence, filming terrorist activities to send to group handlers, and publishing material through MKO-related networks.
