“It will probably be held again at the Dolmabhas office (which is likely to happen),” a source told Sputnik.
In future possible negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul, Russia is proposing to exchange memorandums on both sides’ approaches to the negotiation process.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously proposed to Ukraine on May 15 to resume in-person talks without prerequisites in Istanbul. The Russian delegation arrived in Istanbul on May 15, but there was no contact between representatives of the two countries.
The meeting took place the following day and lasted almost two hours. Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who led the Russian delegation, said Moscow and Kiev had agreed to present a vision of the possibility of a future ceasefire. Medinsky also said Russia is ready to continue consultations with Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the Russian delegation is ready to present a memorandum of understanding on the settlement to the Ukrainian side during discussions for the second round held in Istanbul on June 2.
