The UN Human Rights Office said Friday that at least 1,760 Palestinians have been killed while seeking assistance in Gaza since late May.
“Since May 27, as of August 13, at least 1,760 Palestinians have been killed while seeking assistance.
This is compared to the 1,373 people who killed the office reported on August 1.
On Wednesday, the Israeli military’s chief of staff said plans to occupy Gaza had been approved.
The military intends to control Gaza city and nearby refugee camps, part of the most populous portion of the territory, and has been ravaged by more than 22 months of war.
