A group of friends defending the UN Charter condemned the US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
In a statement issued Monday, the group said air strikes targeting nuclear sites in Fordaw, Isfahan and Natanz were pre-planned and unprovoked, contrary to the basic principles of the UN Charter and international law.
According to the group, the US attack is a clear violation of Iran’s national sovereignty and a blatant attack on the fundamental principles of international law, particularly those that prohibit the threat of force and power.
He also said that the attack on nuclear facilities under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is a clear violation of the UN Nuclear Watch Agency’s mission and lawsuits against the global nuclear security.
Members of the group urged UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and IAEA Director Rafael Grossi to condemn the US attacks. They also called for an immediate halt of the threat and the use of force by the Israeli regime against the US and Iran.
They also expressed solidarity with the Iranian government and those facing these savage attacks.
