According to UN data, Israeli forces issued an evacuation order covering 5.6 square kilometres of Deia al-Bara, expelling up to 80,000 civilians, including 30,000 people who have avoided up to 80,000 civilians in 57 evacuations.
“At least 1,000 families have recently fled the area,” the UN office said for the UN Humanitarian Agreement (OCHA).
“Today’s mass displacement order issued by the Israeli army has even more devastating blows to the already fragile lifelines that continue to live on people throughout the Gaza Strip,” the United Nations added.
Currently, the zones targeted by the occupation include essential aid, four health clinics and a warehouse that stores southern desalination plants in Gaza.
“This damage to the infrastructure has life-threatening consequences,” Ocha warned.
Despite the evacuation order, UN humanitarian staff remains in the area. Following the protocol, their positions are shared with the relevant parties.
“These locations, like all private sites, need to be protected regardless of evacuation orders,” the United Nations emphasized.
With this new order, Israel transformed 87.8% of Gaza into either a militarization or refuge zone, cramming 2.1 million Palestinians into just 12% of the land, and promoting what rights groups call systematic ethnic cleansing.
The United Nations said Israel is “suffocating humanitarian access when it is most needed.”
On Monday, Israel launched a fresh massacre throughout the Gaza Strip.
